Daydream Machine is a staple on the Portland and west coast psych circuit. Pretty much every time a great psych band plays in town, they tap Daydream Machine as their opener, and why not? Featuring members of The Upsidedown, The Whole Wide World, Hawkeye, and even Souvenir Driver; they make music that exists somewhere between The Black Angels and Sisters of Mercy. This track is an alternate mix of one of my favorite songs of theirs. Its a shorter version than the original track, and more ethereal and abstract. It reminds me of Spiritualized. Its like the cotton candy frosting experience at the end of a meal. I'm honored to close out the curation with this song.
