This is a song off of Cat Hoch's upcoming album, and if its any sign, that album is going to be very different than her previous release. Cat exploded in the Portland scene, but she didn't come out of nowhere. She had played with rad bands ranging from Daydream Machine, Tender Age, and Eternal Tapestry. She plays drums in a stoner metal band that just got signed to Riding Easy Records. Her last release was a great Pink Floyd esque taste of 70s psychedelia -- this new track however, goes in a completely different direction, without losing the good melodies and structure she was previously known for. This song is like a John Hughes fever dream -- a song about memory and longing. Dig it!
The debut album from Heaven needs is stunning, dreamy psych. They are prepping their 2nd album now (to be released by homies Little Cloud Records). Check them out before they're yuge. IS/WAS
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
